Mary Tuuk is currently the president of Fifth Third Bank (Western Michigan). In this capacity she has responsibility for the Commercial, Retail, Investment Advisors, Business Banking and Mortgage lines of business. Tuuk received bachelor’s degrees in Business and Music from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She received her M.B.A. and J.D. from Indiana University.
In 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011, Tuuk was named one of the 25 Women to Watch in Banking by American Banker magazine. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, Heart of West Michigan United Way, the Grand Rapids Symphony, Downtown Development Authority and The Economic Club of Grand Rapids. She will be chairing the 2012 – 2013 Heart of West Michigan United Way Campaign and the American Heart Association Go Red for Women Campaign. She also serves on the West Michigan Policy Forum and the West Michigan Talent 2025 CEO Council. She is a member of the State of Michigan Bar Association.
