As president and CEO of JAAR, Inc., Arthur Scott directs strategy and operations for nine McDonald’s restaurants in Muskegon to create value for the company.
Scott was previously the Home Office Director of 1,600 company-owned restaurants throughout the United States. He was responsible for strategic direction and overall business results. Scott began his career at McDonald’s as a crew person in 1981 and has held a variety of leadership positions including Operations Manager, Field Service Manager and Director of Operations.
As a business leader, Scott serves on the Board of Trustees for the Muskegon Community Foundation, the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House of Grand Rapids, the Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Muskegon Community College President’s Advisory for Capital Improvement Project.
Scott has been recognized by many organizations in business for his leadership in Business and the Community as a role model. He received the Outstanding Leadership and Contribution of the Cause of Racial Harmony and Social Justice, Humanitarian Award from the State of Michigan, the Urban League Economic Development Service Award and the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Award for Citizen of the Year.
