James D. Bachmeier

James (Jim) Bachmeier is the vice president for finance and administration at Grand Valley State University. He graduated from Black Hills State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting Emphasis. He was received a Masters of Business Administration from Chadron State College. Jim serves as a member of the Smartzone Local Development Financing Authority, Disability Network/Lakeshore, The West Michigan Strategic Alliance, and the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member on the Advisory Board for the Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center and is the Treasurer on the Grand Valley University Foundation Board of Directors.
