Description
George Heartwell, the former Mayor of GR and a member of President Obama's Climate Change Adaptation Task Force and of the American Bar Association Task Force on Sustainable Development will give a presentation on the challenges of adapting to climate change. Heartwell participated in the United Nations Framework Conference on Climate Change in Paris. He will bring a perspective on that international agreement and how its application by local government holds the key to turning the corner on climate change.
The event is hosted by Geography and Sustainable Planning department.
