Theme Requirement - Reduced from Three to Two Courses beginning Fall 2011
Following an affirmative vote of support by the University Academic Senate at its March 4th meeting, Gayle R. Davis, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, has announced the reduction in the number of courses required to satisfy the Theme Requirement from three to two, for students graduating Fall 2011 and beyond. Starting with Fall 2011, students will satisfy the Theme Requirement by completing any two courses within a Theme category.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Students must still select 2 courses from 2 different disciplines within the selected Theme.
- Only 1 course may be at the 100/200 level.
- A current list of Theme courses can be found on page 2 of the General Education Quick Guide
