FIRST YEAR FACULTY MENTORING COMMUNITY

Small groups of new faculty meet every other week with a faculty mentor. Articles on a variety of teaching, learning, and faculty life topics serve as the basis for the discussions.
 

FACULTY-TO-FACULTY MENTORING PROGRAM

A small-group mentoring opportunity for 2nd through 6th year faculty. Groups meet monthly, or as desired. Most groups meet over a meal or coffee and discuss a wide range of topics such as transitioning to GVSU, teaching, professional development, scholarship, and service opportunities.
 

BLACKBOARD SITE

The Pew FTLC has created a site in our course management system specifically for new faculty. Contact us for access instructions, ftlc@gvsu.edu.
 

CONSULTATIONS

First year faculty are especially encouraged to utilize our confidential consultation services, including class observations and review of student evaluations.
