Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy Changes

Effective July 1, 2011, our Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy must comply with new federal regulations found in the recent Higher Education Reconciliation Act amendments.  As a result, our Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy has changed effective winter 2012 semester.  For more information please review our Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy.

Federal regulations require institutions to monitor the academic progress of financial aid recipients.  Grand Valley State University’s policy is to provide financial aid to students in good academic standing and making adequate progress toward a degree.

IMPORTANT:  Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Requirements are separate from Academic Policies and Regulations and Academic Probation.
