Online Scholarship Searches

There are many great resources available to search for scholarships. Review the scholarship information in college catalogs and on college websites for scholarships available at specific institutions. For scholarships available at Grand Valley, search our scholarship database.

You may want to consider contacting foundations, organizations, and churches in your community, especially those in which you and/or your parents are active. Your local high school guidance office is also a good source of this information. Another resource for scholarship opportunities are websites. Below is a listing of websites with free search resources you may want to consider reviewing.

FinAid was established in the fall of 1994 as a public service. This award-winning site has grown into the most comprehensive source of student financial aid information, advice and tools -- on or off the web.

Fastweb is the premier online resource for paying and preparing for college. Fastweb members are matched to relevant scholarships. With roughly 1.5 million scholarships worth over $3.4 billion, there are scholarships for every student’s educational goals, activities and interests.

 CollegeNET allows you to set up a free profile, create forums and post your ideas. If others like what you say, they'll vote for you. If you like what they say, you can vote for them. Casting and receiving votes earns you points. Earning points can earn you scholarship money!

College Board's online scholarship search is designed to help you locate scholarships, internships, grants, and loans that match your education level, talents, and background.  Complete the brief questionnaire to be matched with potential opportunities from a database of more than 2,300 sources of college funding, totaling nearly $3 billion in available aid.

Through Peterson's StudentEdge you can get access to one of the largest databases of college scholarships. This free scholarship search connects you with more than 1.68 million scholarships, grants, and awards worth $7.69 billion.

ScholarshipExperts.com has been helping parents and students find scholarships and free college money since 2001. Their award database currently houses over 2.4 million scholarships worth more than $14 billion. 

Sallie Mae's College Answer search provides access to a scholarship database containing more than 3 million scholarships worth over 16 billion dollars, and is expanded and updated daily.

Free-4U maintains a national database of scholarship opportunities worth over $10 billion dollars.
