RMA Competition

The Risk Management Association (RMA) Competition is held annually in October. It features:

  • Teams of 2-3 undergrad students (max of two teams per school)
  • Analyze a commercial loan request
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of banking and credit for local banking professionals
  • Balance risk management with meeting customer needs
  • Gain knowledge via RMA University and through an assigned local banking mentor

CFA Challenge

CFA Institute logo

This is currently being held virtually.

The CFA Challenge is held annually in February. This competition:

  • Is an annual, global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis.
  • Promoting best practices in equity research among the next generation of analysts. 
  • Each research challenge season leverages the efforts of over 140 CFA member societies, 3,500 member volunteers, and more than 5,000 students from over 1,000 universities.
  • Local competitions (organized by societies) lead up to regional finals; regional champions then convene for the global final.

ACG Cup

ACG Cup Western Michigan logo

The ACG Cup is held annually in February. It is an intercollegiate competition among students from colleges and universities in Michigan. ACG Cup Students:

  • Receive exposure to the Mergers and Acquisitions Industry in the West Michigan region
  • Participate in a Career Conversations opportunity with leading corporations in West Michigan
  • Gain an understanding of the diverse industries served in West Michigan
  • Have an opportunity to network with ACG members, judges, and representatives from local businesses
  • Have the opportunity to place resume in the ACG Program book
  • Meet ACG Young Professionals and Women in Finance

ACG Cup is divided into two divisions. The first is comprised of MBA students, while the other is made up of junior and senior level undergraduate students.
