Jim Schaub has worked in the field of film and video production for over sixteen years as a producer, editor, writer, camera operator and technical adviser. He has a wide range of experience producing corporate, documentary, non-profit, educational and film work.  As an independent producer, his clients included, UPS, Knoll Inc., CBS Television, The Holocaust Museum of Houston, Bank West, United Way, American Lung Association, Nancy Skinner and Associates and many local producers. He is currently producing a documentary called “Up From the Bottoms: The Search for the American Dream”, a story about African American migration to Muskegon in the 1940’s and beyond.  It features Emmy award winning actress and humanitarian Cicely Tyson as the narrator (www.upfromthebottoms.com).  Jim has worked on three documentary films that have aired on PBS and also has a video in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. He teaches film and video editing and effects and is a technician in the School of Communications.

Jim has a bachelor's degree in business from Michigan State University and both a bachelor's and master's degree in Communications from Grand Valley State University.
