First Year Graduate School Fellowships in Pharmaceutical Science

National Community Pharmacists Association Presidential Scholarships (Members may apply)

The NCPA Foundation Presidential Scholarship will be made on the basis of the following priorities: Leadership Qualities: Potential candidates will be evaluated by the NCPA Foundation Scholarship Committee on the basis of leadership qualities and accomplishments with a demonstrated interest in independent pharmacy, as well as involvement in extracurricular activities. These qualities will be measured by the required supporting documents. Academic Achievement: Scholastic success is a necessary condition for consideration of the award and will be measured using current college transcript.

National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Scholarship

The NHSC Scholarship Program (SP) awards scholarships each year to students pursuing careers in primary care. In return, students commit to providing care at an NHSC-approved site in a high-need Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) for two to four years, upon graduation and completion of training. To be eligible you must be pursuing a degree in one of the following areas Medicine (MD or DO), Dentistry (DDS or DMD), Nurse Practitioner, Certified nurse – midwife or Physician Assistant.

NCPA Foundation J.C. and Rheba Cobb Memorial Scholarship

The NCPA Foundation J.C. and Rheba Cobb Memorial Scholarship will be made on the basis of the following priorities: Demonstrated Interest In Government Affairs, Leadership Qualities: Potential candidates will be evaluated by the NCPA Foundation Scholarship Awards Committee on the basis of leadership qualities and accomplishments with a demonstrated interest in independent pharmacy, as well as involvement in extracurricular activities. Outstanding pharmacy college faculty member is provided a one-time grant matched by their institution to support a 6-month faculty research or faculty development project. This grant program enhances the number and quality of pharmacy faculty committed to research and teaching in the academic pharmacy setting.

Outstanding pharmacy college faculty member is provided a one-time grant matched by their institution to support a 6-month faculty research or faculty development project. This grant program enhances the number and quality of pharmacy faculty committed to research and teaching in the academic pharmacy setting.

Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship

Every year, the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi awards fifty-seven Fellowships of $5,000 each and three at $15,000 each to members entering the first year of graduate or professional study. Each Phi Kappa Phi chapter may select one candidate from among its local applicants to compete for the Society-wide awards.

The NIH Postbac IRTA program (CRTA, Cancer Research Training Award, in the National Cancer Institute) provides recent college graduates who are planning to apply to graduate or professional (medical/dental/pharmacy) school an opportunity to spend one or two years performing full-time research at the NIH. Postbac IRTAs/CRTAs work side-by-side with some of the leading scientists in the world, in an environment devoted exclusively to biomedical research. The NIH consists of the 240-bed Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center and more than 1200 laboratories/research projects located on the main campus in Bethesda, MD and the surrounding area as well as in Baltimore and Frederick, MD; Research Triangle Park, NC; Phoenix, AZ; Hamilton, MT; Framingham, MA; and Detroit, MI

Each year, SUPERVALU Pharmacies gives thousands of dollars in scholarship money directly to our own associates to further their education. Many aspiring pharmacy students have also benefited from the SUPERVALU Pharmacies Pharmacy Student Loan. Recipients are able to repay borrowed dollars with years of service as a pharmacist.

UNCF - Earl and Patricia Armstrong Scholarship

The Earl & Patricia Armstrong Scholarship is open to all students with a 3.0 or above and who are either Pre-med, Biology or Health majors. The scholarship is for $3,000.
