The purpose of this section is to provide you, as a member of a family business, with helpful information.  There is a wealth of research on family businesses available to the public.  Unfortunately it can take time to sift through the journals and publications to find what you need. This section of the FBA website is dedicated to providing you with a snapshot of that research, organized into topics that have been identified by researchers, practitioners and our members as issues important to family firms here in West Michigan.

The following articles represent facts and figures, not opinions or theories.  While opinions and theories are helpful, the articles listed here take information from the best research in the field and put them into everyday, easy to understand language.
