Robin and Ed started their business in 1979. As children, they were raised with gardens. Robin's parents had a roadside stand so while growing up she was constantly involved with providing the community with fresh produce. Gardening was in both Robin and Ed's blood, this love is what built the idea of starting their own stand.
In 1979, they raised a garden and started selling by the road. About 10-12 years ago they built a pole barn and started selling their vegetables out of the barn. " We had an over abundance of vegetables so we decided to sell at the Allendale farmers market. From this we found out how much fun the markets were. So when a few markets opened up, we tried them as well. We really enjoy the markets; we like talking to people about how the vegetables grow and how they are harvested."
Thanks Robin and Ed for providng the GVSU community with fresh and local produce!
