History of GVSU Recycling Program

• October 25, 1990
• For every ton of recycled paper, one new tree will be planted.
• The university plans to create a 100 tree arboretum.
• Last week, President Arend Lubbers took up a gold-plated shovel and, with the university recycling committee, planted the first of this year's 33 trees.
