Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I worked on performing a variety of security assessments for companies around the country. This included direct penetration attempts (Hacking) from both external and internal connections as well as performing deep dives into corporate systems and policies to ensure the company's security.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I learned a lot about advanced networking and all the different tools that can be used to both analyze and exploit a network. I got to see so many different system configurations including the good and the very bad.
Favorite Part of the Experience
I really enjoyed the travel that I got do while visiting different clients. It was fun to see all sorts of new places and meet different people at every client.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
This experience confirmed for me that cyber-security is the correct field for me but also showed me all I have to learn before entering the profession full time.
