Description of the Organization
Fox 17 is a news station that does morning and night news. The morning news is 5-9am and then they have 5 and 6pm shows with a 10pm show being the last one for the night. They show news, weather, updates and sports.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I worked on the Viz Sports ticker that goes on the bottom of your screen telling you the scores of certain teams. I also did some editing of the video that they wanted to use.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
The skills that I gained were working in a fast-paced production world. I also learned more editing tools needed for the workforce.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part of this co-op experience would have to be working with the people there at Fox 17 and learning everything that I could to better my understanding of the production world.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
This internship has helped me realize that this isn't what I really want to do. The news part of it , isn't the direction that I want to go into, I would rather video tape for sports with more the educational aspect going into it rather then the fast-paced hurry up and wait part of it.
