JR Automation is an automated manufacturing company. They are based in Holland Michigan. The company continues to grow and is a great place to work.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I was in the design Department this semester and enjoyed it. I dimensioned part drawing, checked other designers work, and designed a few components of my own for various machine cells.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
A lot of GD&T was learned and used. Common design practices were also learned.
Favorite Part of the Experience
The opportunity to design and detail a part that was then actually made. It was very rewarding!
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
I wish to continue to learn how to be an engineer and possibly obtain a full-time position at JR Automation.
