Description of the Organization

The priority of ETS Performance is to provide unmatched speed, power, deceleration, energy system development, movement and performance mastery training for serious athletes who were fully committed to maximizing their genetic physical and psychological potential. In order to do that, I knew I had to create a distinct and more advanced system of training than what was currently available in the training profession. It is crucial for every athlete to develop the basic fundamental athletic and biomechanical movements, strength techniques and deceleration protocols through a customized and ability appropriate plan in order to truly maximize their potential. At ETS, every athlete will experience a next-level training atmosphere that canýt be matched and is equally focused on character development, accountability and competition as we deliver next level performance results. Every ETS athlete will leave each session understanding the physical objective for that session, but also understand the importance of consistency, dedication and commitment to ensure they are maximizing their results.

Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed

As a coach and an intern, it was my responsibility to train the athletes on proper strength and speed mechanics, in order to enhance their athleticism. Additionally, it was vital for me to utilize my communication skills in order to build relationships with all of the athletes, in order for them to trust my coaching and feel comfortable around me. It was important for me to motivate the athletes day in and day out to push themselves to their limits, especially with the correct, mindful training. It was also essential that I contributed to the high energy, motivating and inspiring environment that ETS is supposed to provide in order for the athletes to reach their highest potential.

Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience

I gained a sufficient amount of knowledge regarding speed and strength mechanics, I was introduced to triphasic training methods, I strengthened my communication skills, I became mindful of how to have a unique aspect of communication with each individuals (instead of being general with everyone) , I gained additional confidence in my ability as both a strong communication and coach, I realized the positive influence I have on others, etc.

Favorite Part of the Experience

My favorite part of this internship was definitely all of the fascinating knowledge I obtained, and my high quality performance. My supervisors gave me an incredible amount of feedback regarding my performance day in and day out, which not only leaded to me learning more, but it also lead to me being more successful and willing to be at my best. It was a great feeling knowing I was doing a good job, and it also made me feel good that my communication skills were to the point where the athletes felt comfortable being around me.

How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals

I'm definitely considering a career very similar to this internship or in this field and I believe that this internship made me realize what my strengths are and what I'm meant to do with my skills.
