We all have accumulated clothing, shoes, housewares, and so on that we no longer need. As we head into summer, consider donating items to the YWCA West Central Michigan. The YWCA is a large, nation-wide organization whose mission is to serve women and children dealing with domestic violence and homelessness. The Grand Rapids branch has a women’s closet where those who use the service of the organization have the opportunity to go ‘shopping’ for new clothing, housewares, baby clothes, shoes, etc. Some women are starting over and have nothing. This resource helps ease the rough transition into a new life.

The next donation drop off is April 30th, 2012! Drop off donations at anytime, the bin is located outside the Women's Center (1201 Kirkhof Center).

Donations needed:

Clothing (womens, mens, childrens, infants), professional wear, housewares, games, toys, movies, shoes, accessories (belts, hats, gloves, scarfs), other donations are accepted. Ask around to your friends and family!
