About Brett Hite:
With his distinctive instrumentation and soulful vocals, singer-songwriter Brett Hite emerges onto the college music scene. Growing up in the suburbs of Spokane, WA, Hite began listening to a vast array of music; anything from Tracy Chapman to Michael Jackson. While playing soccer for the University of Washington, Hite suffered a severe injury that forced him to put his aspirations of becoming a professional athlete aside. While recovering, music became an outlet for Hite to escape the frustrations of dealing with his injury. While Hite eventually did return to the soccer field, he found it harder and harder to stay away from music. After college, Hite chose to pursue his dream of playing music and now can be heard touring coffee shops and colleges all over the US. His heart-rendering vocals and melodies suggest a pop sensibility with true passion beneath that is bound to find a worldwide audience. Brett showcased at several NACA conventions in 2010 and 2011, booking over 70 shows at colleges across the US.
