Teams of mathematics and science teachers of grades 6, 7, 8 and 9.
The goal of the SaM3 professional development program is to increase a teacher’s ability to elicit and address student misconceptions, utilizing the content areas of Energy (science) and Fractions (mathematics) as a context for applying misconception management strategies. Connections will be made to the mathematics practices of the CCSS and the science and engineering practices of the NGSS.
