The Office of Student Life invites you to take part in an exciting opportunity to help new transfer students.
While you do not need to be told benefits of being associated with PTK, there is much to be gained by being an active member of an alumni chapter. Our goal is to help former PTK students charter an alumni chapter on Grand Valley’s campus. By doing so, you would be helping ease the transition for future transfer students and provide recognition for the accomplishments that you have earned in your time at your previous institution. Additionally, you would be establishing yourself as a transfer student leader and would be able to connect with other student leaders at GVSU. The networking opportunities provided by such an organization is an invaluable benefit.
We would like to invite you to an informational session on Tuesday, November 5th. We will be holding sessions at 12:00 pm (noon) in the Kirkhof Center, room 1104, and at 9:30 pm in the Pere Marquette room (Kirkhof Center, room 2204). You only need attend one of the meetings. At these meetings we will discuss the need for this organization on GVSU’s campus, the goals for the association, and what you can to help establish an alumni chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.
If you cannot attend the meetings or if you have any questions between now and then, please contact PTK Alumni Advisor Nick Woodward at firstname.lastname@example.org
