LIB 100 & LIB 201 Approved
Students from the department of Geography and Planning, and the School of Social Work will present their cultural experiences during study abroad in Peru and El Salvador. The Geography and Planning students conducted forest surveys in the Amazon rainforest while they learned about the many cultural uses of forest species, medicinal plants and local customs and rituals. The School of Social Work students visited and interacted with communities in El Salvador while exploring the interconnections between social work, human rights, social justice and civic responsibility.
