UK Business and Culture will be combining with UK Entrepreneurship & Family Business to host an information session!

About the programs: 

United Kingdom: International Business & Corporate Governance
London, United Kingdom- This program explores the U.K. culture, history, corporate governance and ethics of the Western European environment. You will experience lectures and field trips illustrating the impact of culture and history on business reporting, corporate governance and ethics. 

The program will be based in London, the financial center of Europe, with visits to U.K. accounting firms, regulatory bodies, historical and cultural sites.Students will spend 4 weeks taking classes in Grand Rapids prior to travel to London.


United Kingdom: Family Business and Entrepreneurship
Lancaster, United Kingdom — This program will focus on family business, entrepreneurship, and international business and culture in the U.K.  The five weeks in Lancaster would involve studying family business case studies with an emphasis on cultural differences between the UK and the US, with particular attention paid to the aspects of entrepreneurship in family businesses both at start up as well as during succession. 

The course will also consist of lectures by Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) faculty members and entrepreneurs in residence.   The international business and culture will include lectures, UK case studies as well as field trips that relate to the culture and history of business in the greater Lancaster area.
