DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:This outreach is designed for those students who attended the Majors Fair and came away with more questions than answers, or for those just wanting to get a better understanding of what to do next in their career development.  We will provide a quick Myers-Brigg personality scoring, and proceed to use this in connection with the majors available at GVSU.  The aim of the outreach is to demonstrate to students that there are a variety of jobs and careers available that may fit their interests, but also their natural strengths.  For example: If a student is interested in the sciences, specifically medicine, but has a natural artistic tendency, we could suggest the idea of a career in scientific illustration, art therapy, or a career in prosthetics.  For those who have already decided the path they want to pursue, we want to provide them with resources to further bolster their personalized career road map.  We will provide them confidence they take the “next step” in their journey by encouraging that although their natural strengths may lie in something such as “structure” that doesn’t mean that they aren’t able to be flexible.
