The Fête de la Francophonie is a celebration of French-speaking cultures. Participants to the fête will be able to sample the flavors of France and Africa, with a French crêpes and a coffee bar, and African couscous salad and spicy chicken skewers, and much more. There will be several opportunities to learn about games from francophone countries such as the French games Pétanque and Tarot cards, and the African game Mancala. Participants will also be able to experience African dancing performed by GVSU students. There will also be cultural presentations done by GVSU students and faculty on Morocco, Benin, Congo, Tunisia and several towns or regions of France. The Fête de la Francophonie will immerse participants into francophone cultures.
