About 1 in 3 adults has high blood pressure (CDC, 2008). This FREE event is open to all of the GVSU community. All results will be kept confidential. High blood pressure is referred to as "the silent killer" because it often has no warning signs or symptoms and many people don't realize they have high blood pressure.
Program Objectives:
Educate individuals as to what blood pressure is
Educate individuals on what their current blood pressure measurement is
Educate individuals on the risks of increased blood pressure/hypertension
Educate individuals on ways to help manage blood pressure
