Event Information |
The purpose of Fireside Chats is to provide a safe environment for diverse women from across campus to engage in intercultural education, while also getting to know each other and building relationships. Present in all of the workshops is an opportunity for “storytelling” – modeled after Greg Tanaka’s work, author of The Intercultural Campus: Transcending Culture and Power in American Higher Education (2003). The fireside chats were born out of the Women’s Commission but serve to support the mission/vision of Grand Valley State University as it works to model its values of inclusion and equity.
This program is held in the Women's Center lobby from 12:00-1:00pm on the following dates:
October 31, 2012
November 28, 2012
February 27, 2013
March 27, 2013
