Description:
The Economics Department would like to cordially invite you to join us for our Economics open house from 11:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16th, in 2263 Kirkhof Center on the Allendale Campus. We will be providing complimentary pizza and soft drinks.
Why an economics major? It is cool! Yes, cool! Economics does not teach you how to do things, it teaches you how to think in an analytical manner, the very first step to any success. With rigorous training in economics, you can take your superior analytical skills anywhere, and with minimum on-the-job training, you will excel in financial analysis, banking, consulting, marketing, or general management.
For those of you who have already declared majors, we would like to discuss with you the expanded benefits and possibilities with a second major in Economics. The second major can make you more competitive in today’s tough economy. Plus, this opportunity of double majoring at Seidman can be done by taking only a few additional classes. Our faculty members will be with you to share their own experiences, ideas, and insights, and listen to your concerns and interests.
Come and find out what you can do with an economics major! Get your questions answered and meet the economics department faculty! Explore career paths, internship, and study abroad opportunities! Learn about the Economics Club, Real Estate Club, and Economics Honor Society!
Call us at (616) 331-7290 or e-mail economics@gvsu.edu to let us know you are coming. (If you forget to RSVP, its okay, still come!)
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. If you cannot make it to our open house on February 16, please feel free to stop by the Economics Department in DeVos Center to pick up some informational material and check it out with your favorite Economics professor(s) on a one-to-one basis. Our doors are open to you at any time.
