Careers in Computing

Purpose: To inspire freshman and sophomore students (with a focus on women) in CIS 150 - Introduction to Computing - to consider a career in computing. Three employer speakers are recruited to deliver 10-minute presentations regarding their exciting computing careers in a motivational way. A panel discussion follows, fielding questions from the audience, all moderated by CIS Prof. David K. Lange. Typical attendance is 200-300 individuals, including many of the CIS faculty.
