On Monday, January 28th from 4:00 – 7:00, we will view the documentary "Brink of Survival" with a question/answer session with Dr. Martha Sommers in Niemeyer 148. The documentary demonstrates the impacts of HIV/AIDS, poverty, and the status of women on maternal-child health in one of the world's poorest countries. This is a unique opportunity to hear first-hand what life is like in an impoverished country. Please join us and meet this woman who is doing extraordinary work in Malawi. The program is LIB 100 approved.
After the program, you are invited to a dinner in the multi-purpose room. Those planning to attend this program and the dinner, please respond to me by email no later than January 22nd: firstname.lastname@example.org
