Description

Whether you're in the front country or backcountry, keeping your meals tasty & nutritious, without breaking the bank can be tough.  Although a salami stick & block of cheese makes a great snack, it doesn't need to be your only option.  Come learn about the basics of camping nutrition and kitchen safety, from meal planning & portioning to cooking.  Participants will have a chance to learn & share tips on meals that are delicious, nutritious & cost no more than $3 per meal per person.  The workshop will conclude with hands on practice with our stoves and an opportunity to cook & sample a few of our favorite recipes.
