Smart phones, virtual reality, and self-driving cars represent some of the amazing technological advancements highlighted in the media today. Technology has also continued to improve the lives of students and other individuals involved in all levels of education. There are a wide variety of apps, tools, and devices available that can assist all students in a number of ways, such as smart pens and speech-to-text software. However, navigating the myriad of technical opportunities can be challenging.
GVSU’s Disability Support Resources, in partnership with the Milton E. Ford LGBT Resource Center, invites you to stop by our Assistive Technologies Table, located within the LGBT Center in Kirkhof Center on the Allendale Campus, on Tuesday, October 17th, from noon to 1:30pm. Our Assistive Technologies Advisor, Jeff Sykes, will be answering questions and demonstrating a variety of tools that all students can benefit from utilizing during their college careers. We invite all to stop by to discover how technology can improve your college experience!
If you are in need of accommodations for this event, please contact the Disability Support Resources office by calling 616-331-2490 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
