We started out the meeting talking about the company tour to AkzoNoble in October and got a rough head count of how many people are interested in participating. We briefly discussed traveling options for this event as well. During this meeting, Meagan Luttenton-Knoll and Thomas McGinnis were present to answer questions about ESSU and the MIS program and to give general information as well. We discussed the perks of being a member of ESSU and how we are making changes to make ESSU more exclusive and beneficial to paying members. The option of giving out a name tag once members paid their dues was given and that every member wore the name tag to each meeting in order to indicate who has paid and who has not. General information about meetings and the perks of being a member of ESSU were given to the attendees. We discussed what to expect when companies come to talk at our meetings. This included what to wear and to bring resumes to these types of events. Questions were asked regarding the MIS program and where to get services to assist with resumes. Dues were collected at the end of the meeting and the attendees’ student IDs were scanned before they left the meeting.
