ESSU Meeting Minutes & Active Memberships
ESSU Board Meeting 9/2/2015

Today was our first meeting of the fall semester. We started out the meeting discussing how recruiting went at the Seidman Life Days, which took place today. Next we discussed the upcoming events that we have planned for the fall semester. One of these events include a resume workshop, which members of ESSU will be able to have their resume looked over and get tips on areas that could use improvement. We also talked about Campus Life Night that takes place next Tuesday on the Allendale campus. We will have at least three students from our organization attending to recruit new members. We all agreed that it is important to recruit sophomores and juniors to join our organization since many of our members will be graduating this spring.
Next on the agenda was discussing the logistics of the company tour that as an organization we plan on taking later on in the semester. We plan on having the details sorted out within the next couple of weeks.
We finished up our meeting talking about inviting the Women in Computing organization to our ERP Speaker Series event. I plan to contact the president of this organization soon to arrange the details. This will give us an opportunity to engage with other students that are interested in information systems but from a more technical side. Overall it was a very successful first meeting!
