The Master of Arts in English at Grand Valley offers area students and professionals a new opportunity to deepen knowledge, sharpen critical skills, and strengthen writing through advanced study in literature. 

Our small seminar classes are conveniently offered in Allendale and Grand Rapids, and taught by dedicated professors who are active scholars in their fields. 

Designed in part to meet the needs of high school English teachers, the M.A. program is also suitable for working professionals in publishing, journalism, and library science--or others who simply wish to study intensively a wide range of literatures in English.
