GVSU provided the opportunity to get a masters degree in biomedical engineering. The interdisciplinary nature of biomedical engineering allows me to take classes is the biology and medical fields in addition to my engineering classes. The GVSU biomedical engineering program also got me in contact with the Van Andel Institute, were I am doing my graduate practicum as a guest student in the small animal imaging lab. There I develop acquired images for studies as well as develop algorithms and techniques to process the images.
