The second K-12 DT Summit was held Jan 14, 2016. Titled “Next Steps . . . K-12 Design Thinking Summit” was sponsored by the GVSU Design Thinking Initiative. It brought together 60 educators and administrators from 14 school districts and educational institutions and GVSU’s College of Education to network, learn from each other’s design thinking efforts, compare experiences and validate direction.  

Participants benefited from an event with multiple strategies for connecting and learning, including a Keynote Address by Steelcase, Panel Discussion, a Guest Speaker from The Henry Ford Learning Institute and several “deep dive” roundtables called Collaboration Stations that furthered DT understanding and supported post-event action.
