GVSU M.Ed Program

The Grand Valley State University (GVSU) Charter Schools Office (CSO) is pleased to offer financial support for teachers, administrators and counselors employed at a GVSU-authorized charter school who wish to participate in GVSU’s Master of Education and Education Specialist programs.

Currently, the CSO will provide tuition reimbursement of 50% for up to 12 credits per academic year after satisfactory completion of required program courses. Reimbursement will be offered only to individuals working as teachers, administrators or school counselors (if you are not sure if your position qualifies, please contact the Charter Schools Office). Please note that elective courses (including EDR 612 & 613), books or additional fees incurred are NOT reimbursable by the CSO.

Beginning in January 2017, we will be transitioning to a scholarship program and not a reimbursement. Therefore, if you are taking courses in the Winter 2017 semester, you MUST complete the scholarship application before taking courses.

For additional information and to see which programs are eligible for the scholarship, visit the links below.
