GVSU Community Outreach Week 2016 broke records!
Nearly 3,700 hours of service were dedicated to nonprofit organizations between March 19 and March 26, 2016. Lakers in sixteen states and three countries volunteered at various projects, from building homes to cleaning animal shelters. The total volunteer count was 1,101 people, which surpassed the 2015 record of 1,004 volunteers. The purpose of Community Outreach Week is to unite around the world in service in the name of Grand Valley State University. The program, which began in 2008, is a partnership between the Community Service Learning Center and the Alumni Association.
