Counseling Center
Peer Education Program

The Peer Education Program

The Peer Education Program has evolved into a program that offers an experiential opportunity to enhance skills as a presenter, educator, and peer advocate.  The Peer Educators work as part of the Counseling Center's Wellness Initiative, specifically targeting the Passport Program at North C (located in old Niemeyer bldg).   The Passport Program provides a living center for students who choose a wellness based lifestyle.  The Peer Educators develop and present programs that support and encourage students to make healthy choices.

 Become a Peer Educator

The Wellness Team of North C is currently seeking 10 students who wish to serve as Peer Educators for the Passport Program.  This is a paid position with a minimum 3 hours per week commitment.

Our team offers a place for Peer Educators to:
• Grow personally and professionally as both a learner and teacher.  You will receive ongoing training to facilitate outreach activities within campus community.

•Make a personal commitment to wellness.  While you will be coaching residents to adopt holistic and healthy lifestyles, we hope you can learn to make healthy choices in your own lives as well - whatever they may be!

•Create an environment that supports Wellness.  You will be an integral part of helping to shape the new Wellness Initiative and disseminating helpful information to residents.
