Yoga Sesshin
60 minutes of meditation and yoga practice followed by 15 minute group discussion.  This seminar will feature lyengar yoga (uniting mind-body connections through physical postures) and a 15 minute discussion period or "Sesshin" ("gathering of the mind").  Classes will focus on learning and exploring the 7 Chakras and finding the healing benefits of yoga.  No yoga experience necessary, wear comfortable clothing, yoga mats and props provided.  **Lib 100 approved.

QPR Suicide Prevention
QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) is a nationally recognized program identifying risk factors related to suicide:  how to recognize signs and symptoms, how to ask someone if they are suicidal, and how to assist them in getting help.  QPR is a triage strategy to suicide what CPR is to heart attack victims.  Department and student group presentations also available upon request.  **Lib 100 Approved.

Bariatric Surgery Support Group
Bariatric surgery is a life-changing event.  Those who choose to make the commitment to this new life style may experience challanges, as well as success.  Group members will have the opportunity to share their experiences, and will also be introduced to copying strategies that include meditation, yoga, and breathing techniques.  This support group is open to faculty, staff, and students who have had bariatric surgery.

Stress Group
The group will focus on strategies and ideas to help manage one's stress.  We will focus on relaxation techniques and other methods that are effective to control stress.

Date:  Begins Tues. Sept. 29th (on-going weekly through Dec. 8th)  Time:  1 - 2PM  Place:  ACES Office  Leaders:  Brian Bossick and Eric Klingensmith

DBT Group
This group is designed to help students using the Dialectical Behavior Therapy model.  Some students find it extremely difficult to moderate moods and relationships while at college.  As a result of this dysregulation, students may find themselves making their lives more intense, more frustrating and may even be asked to work with a counselor to manage their emotions.  DBT is a proactive opportunity to establish skills that will help identify and regulate emotions, behaviors, and general attitudes toward life.

Living With Loss
Focusing on individual loss (e.g., death, relationships, health, careers, prestige), how this impacts us, and how we go about living with such loss.  We will explore the philosophic as well as day-to-day aspects of "living with loss."
