The Counseling and Career Development Center and the Career Services office offer a variety of unique programs during the academic year providing students with opportunities to explore career fields, network among professionals, and gather information about career opportunities and trends. The career programs are designed to further assist students in assessing the realism of their career choices and plans and to provide opportunities to identify appropriate career alterations and options. Here are some of the career programs available for student participation.

Career Awareness Month is a month of career activities designed to assist individuals in their career development process. Workshops are offered at various campus locations at a variety of times at no cost to participants. Check times and locations as the academic year progresses. The following are just a few of the activities offered:
  • Career Awareness Day
  • How to Work a Career Fair
  • Do's and Don'ts of Professional Dress
  • Portfolio Development
  • Career Seminars
  • Graduate School Fair

The Graduate School Fair is designed to help ensure a continuous transition from undergraduate school to graduate school. The fair hosts approximately twenty graduate school representatives from the Midwest states. Information is provided about admission requirements, financial aid, scholarships, standardized tests scores and more. Graduate school representatives include:

  • Palmer School of Chiropractic
  • Thomas Cooley Law School
  • Eastern Michigan University
  • Madonna College
  • University of Michigan
