Description
The Third Annual River City Water Festival is a community event celebrating the Grand River and its role in shaping our city. Please join us to learn about the importance of clean water and what you can do to help. The festival is free and perfect for the entire family!
Enjoy hands-on, educational activities and learn from regional experts in environmental quality and water resources. Presenters include Blandford Nature Center, John Ball Zoo, Plaster Creek Stewards, the City of Grand Rapids Environmental Services Department, Annis Water Resources Institute, Kent Conservation District, Macatawa Area Coordinating Council, and more! The festival is sponsored by the Groundswell initiative through the College of Education's Center for Educational Partnerships in collaboration with the West Michigan Environmental Action Council (WMEAC).
By participating in presenter activities, families can receive: $1 off general museum admission, a free carousel ride, a free planetarium show, 500 mygrcitypoints, and a t-shirt.
