My scholarly interests focus on human flourishing and thriving, emphasizing personal growth as articulated in the field of positive psychology. In particular, my interests are concentrated on exploring various factors leading to positive social/emotional outcomes for members of society who are marginalized and oppressed. For example, I often explore the ways in which social systems and institutions can support and invest in the most vulnerable members of society (e.g., historically marginalized children and adolescents) so that individuals, communities and organizations are able to thrive.
