Cathy is an Assistant Professor in Educational Leadership. Her research is focused on building leadership capacity in others. She works to create effective distribution of leadership through the use of processes and protocols. She is also interested in improving school climate through the building of relationships and increasing teacher leadership. Cathy’s passion has always been to understand the dynamic process of teaching and learning. This has led her to the work of understanding and improving upon the instructional core through the strategy of instructional rounds. She has used this strategy as both a continuous improvement process as well as a means to improve the aforementioned culture and creating effective leadership capacity.
