<p align="LEFT">Mitch Roth Awarded the John Shontz Scholarship from the Waddell-Treanor Native Plants Endowment.</p><br />
<p>The Waddell Treanor Native Plants Endowment was established at Grand Valley State University in 2008 with the funds from a very generous bequest from Barbara Waddell and Arlene Treanor. These funds are to be used for the purpose of getting young people involved in conservation of native plants, promoting growth of native plants, and promoting use of native plants in landscaping and gardening.</p><br />

The awarded poster "Analyzing the Interaction Between Candida albicans and Pseudomonas aeruginosa and the Effects of Oxygen Limitation" also features contributions from Chris Howard and TJ Ramnarine.

							Dawn Clifford Hart was awarded a four year grant from the National Science Foundation totaling $498,000 to study Regulatory Mechanisms for Bridging the Contractile Ring with the Cellular Membrane in Fission Yeast Cytokinesis. <div><font size="3">The Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship program seeks to:</font></div><br />

Upon receiving their master&rsquo;s degree, Fellows are assisted in securing teaching placements within districts that have strong leaders, experienced teacher-mentors, and pre-existing relationships with participating teacher education programs. Every Fellow receives ongoing, intensive mentoring and assessment focused on the first three years of teaching, as well as opportunities for continuing education.</font></span></div><br />
