Michigan Ice Fest (ice climbing trip)

Join members of the HTM Dept. & Climbing Center for a weekend of epic ice climbing at the Annual Michigan Ice Fest in Munising, MI.  Participants will meet in Munising Friday, Feb 1 and will return Sunday, Feb. 1.

Down Wind Sports, the event organizers, will have the newest gear available to demo and have brought in world class climbers & mountaineers to give presentations, lead clinics, and set up a multitude of top-ropable ice climbs.

This festival is geared towards climbers of All abilities, including novice novice climbers who have never been on ice before.

Registration will be open from Dec. 17 - Jan 25. 
If registration fills up before you have a change to sign-up, you may still attend Ice Fest.  However, we cannot guarantee you lodging other than the free winter camping available in the Pictured Rocks area.

$35  non-refundable deposit required is due at the time of registration.  This will cover necessary climbing gear & motel lodging.

Much of this adventure will be pay-as-you-go.  Additional expenses to plan for include: transportation, food, a $35 Event Registration fee at Ice Fest, & gear purchases.  Assistance with arranging car pooling is available upon request.
