Dr. Katherine Erdman, a 2007 GVSU alumna (Classics/Anthropology) who completed the PhD in Anthropology at the University of Minnesota in 2014, will speak about her dissertation research concerning religious syncretism in Roman Gaul; she is especially interested in pre-Roman cults centering around water, and the transformation of these cults following Roman conquest.
