Professor Crick explores the complex intersections between art, science, rhetoric, and democracy. His focus is on the theory and practices of the Greek Sophists and the American Pragmatists. Professor Crick is author of Rhetorical Public Speaking (Allyn & Bacon, 2010) and Democracy & Rhetoric: John Dewey on the Arts of Becoming (University of South Carolina Press, 2010).
